It’s been a record and a few months since John V aka Secondhand Serenade has been on Conan.  You can read last May’s performance here.

First off, Michel Gondry rules.

The man tips are still here.  Camera opens up with a birds eye view on the grand master piano colorfully lit pink.  Based on the first few notes, my instinct was to change the channel.  John sings like the religiously tranced.  plays the piano the same way and sings songs that sound like someone is having their guts ripped out.  Does this sound like something you’d like to listen to?

I don’t get it.  I didn’t get it the first time SS was on Conan.  I don’t get it the 2nd time.  Band members in the back are dancing to this soliloquy like they are members of Linkin Park.  I don’t get it.  At least Vin Diesel was playing bass this time.
