babies
congrats to josh and shannon, they are expecting in May!
while cooking tonight I dropped the knife. 7″ chef’s knife. pointy blade side down. bullseye on my big toe.
it’s nasty looking my big toe is.
So I was busy checking out the entire ROOTS series on iTunes when my google notifier was like *ping whawoom* you received a message from a fashionista turkey pie named ***privacy**. Turned out it was a fan of this band Y33BA (which in leetspeak would be - YEE BA!) and was like “hear me out they’re good and under appreciated”
So I’m cutting my cats nails and listening to their 4 song library on myspace. Since I am only a humble reviewer of recorded broadcasts of the musical guest on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, being asked to review YEE BA! was a bit refreshing (especially since I’m dry as a virgin cuba libre what with the vga strikes and all). I mean I used to dream of being like pitchfork, drowing in samples, booya!
“psycho on your side” - check out their livejournal page from ‘05. *chuckle* I think that this song is a flagship show for live performances cause you can get the lyrics in your head easily like the theme from “Cheers”.
“town and country” - to be honest, this song is much more enticing to me. though it’s always been a stupid name for a car. I could listen to this quite frequently, like 80 decibels while I’m in a carwash, that would be cool.
“sue” - sorry but I would probably go take a leak during this song. I’m sure they do some sexy stuff live during this song, but…
“know that u are not the only 1″ - crazy bass synth man, you have made this song more interesting though you may have been playing a different song during the recording.
there you go penguinrobot fan #1. Good luck and keeping reading blogs hard!

a few weeks back was also FUZE with the larc presentation of studio videos in a public art piece. It was soooo awesome. I even had a random night event promoter asking about the screens. and now some clips…
this is old news now, but back in early October I found another one of my high school friends has died. I put down words of thought on her memorial service guestbook here.what is creepy is that her death is a suspected murder-suicide with her fiancee, pictures of whom I saw on Facebook just weeks before (the same pictures that went to media).

omg! lots and lots of singing. lots. 2h10m of it. unfortunately, unlike chicago, I wasn’t familiar with any of the songs, so…I had 2x speed certain parts I admit.

bangers and mash! when I was in LA I got to see Sam & Rachel’s new(ish) house!!! sooo nice! we also walked around a park with sooo many kids playing sports and hung out at the founding place of their pie club.

oh my gosh, I’ve been so smokin’ busy that I haven’t had a chance to post about wedding #2 - this time Megan’s! And I’m happy to report that the weddings felt like to totally separate events - each soo beautiful with own characteristics.
Things started off great!!! We were going to be hosed by miles awards tickets on United due to fogged in connection, but some lovely person at United in Vancouver sent us to Air Canada, after a chain of like six people, we were booked on an Air Canada direct flight - booya! I got to see evan almighty BARELY, the flight was almost thirty minutes fast due to a tailwind - badass!

The weekend was a bit more relaxed too. We hopped to the Apple Pan on the way home which was stellar since we hadn’t eaten since breakfast (I was at a sales conference up till the flight!). I also got to eat breakfast at john o’groats, another west LALA classic eatery. I even chewed some fat with a few patrons there about the history (there were discrepancies).

But back to the wedding. I thought I was great that Ritchie came along this time. It was a very beautiful wedding, and even though it was two months apart from megan’s sister’s wedding, there was such a different feel. Highlights were the bathroom at the exclusive California Club. I must have spent ten minutes buffing my shoes in there. There was great food and drinks, a lovely cocktail martini hour which I think got me more than a smidge tipsy, and dancing till midnight! So…congrat’s cousin megan and darren! You’ve been married 25 days! yeah!
