I know not much about the ongoings. Infact, i should not even be putting my two cents in, but since i am a somewhat pleased* vonage user and my sister has been stuck waiting for some type of new verizon internet in her apartment for over two months with no phone or internet due to verizon, i’ve got to put a “just plain greedy” tag on verizon for their latest actions.

i mean, in a free market, isn’t it kind of cool that vonage went super aggressive on a rampage campaign to get their service up and running?  I mean I’m a vonage user partly cause vonage sold me a phone for free with rebates, gave me three months service to try for didley, and kept things simple after that.  even though clearly verizon is the 800 lb. gorilla here - isn’t verizon a bit slower, more expensive, and difficult with the hardware for the VoIP stuff?  seems like it should make sense that vonage would be out on top (after my preferred skype of course).  what is verizon trying to protect with these lawsuits and more importantly the timing of these lawsuits?

*somewhat pleased meaning that i have a constant buzzing sound on the phone line and occasional badly-timed outages as well on vonage
